Back to the 2019 Silmo
The 53 th edition of Silmo Paris was held from September 27 to 30. Back on a lounge growing success year after year.
For this new vintage World Optics, there were 35,888 visitors, an increase of 2.5 % compared to 2018. The majority of visitors were international but the French were, of course, the rendezvous.
Exhibitors side, the show has welcomed 970 . Friday 27 and Sunday 29 were particularly lively
Conferences in the era of time
As every year, the organizers of the Silmo have set about offering conferences . The second edition of Silmo NEXT , a series of talks based on the innovations, trends and perspectives of the optics trades , offered us a nice program.
Of course, the glasses Connected were the stars of these new generation conferences. Philippe Peyrard , CEO and founder of Ellcie Healthy, will take a look at what separates connected and smart frames .
Other subjects as exciting as each other, followed one another at the rostrum:
Julbo EVAD1 connected bezel: The synergy of know-how at the service of innovation by Romain SIMON ( Julbo Product Communication Manager) & Flavien SANIARD (Designer), The digitalization of the frames in the service of the purchase experience or The Augmented Vision.
Other conferences based on the optician profession were on the program, including a round table entitled The optician: a prismatic profession, a shared language.
But also a conference of Carole Riehl , founder of the magazine Ecological Glasses which we had already praised the work, Accompagnement for opticians eco-responsible.
Finally, the digital has been several times in the spotlight with conferences like How to humanize sales through digital? by Joël NGUYEN (Co-founder of UNIMI ) or Digital signage in the shop, the last meter's influence by Isabelle RUF , IVS Group Marketing Director .
Avant-garde winners
Of course, what would the Silmo be without the Golden Silmo ?
The coveted reward for yet another award-winning beauty , at the height of the talent of the actors of the optics.
Among our little favorites, let us note the winner of the category "Mount Technological Innovation", the German Freisicht with its AvantGarde frames, full of sobriety and elegance. We will also remember Safilo's Attack Mag Mtb sports frames and its lightweight and durable ChromaPop carbonic lens .
