Ludovic Tassy, CIO of the Alain Afflelou Group and president of the Agora des CIOs, was recently re-elected as president of the GEIE Eyes-Road for the next three years.

On the occasion of SILMO 2025, he shares with us his vision for this new mandate, his priorities and his view on developments in the optical sector and the EDI industry.

Migration to iZyCoreConnect (iCC): a strategic priority

“We are currently doing everything we can to ensure that the migration to iZyCoreConnect (iCC) is complete and efficient by the beginning of 2026 ,” explains Ludovic.

A major issue started during his previous mandate, the migration to iCC remains a strategic priority for him and the GEIE Eyes-Road.

This transaction flow management solution will allow opticians to directly access the supplier catalog, track their orders in real time and benefit from automatic consistency and feasibility checks.

"The engine is already powerful, and the majority of traffic already passes through it. The advantage of this solution? It's an evolution that will bring new features via Eyes-Road and that will benefit the entire market."

Strengthening the security and fluidity of exchanges

For Ludovic Tassy, data security and streamlining of exchanges remain absolute priorities for the optical sector.

"We are working to host our data in secure environments, reduce the amount of personal data in flows, and maintain French sovereignty over cybersecurity issues. Clearly, standards must be respected and improved to secure exchanges while optimizing costs."

An experienced team to support the mandate

Alongside Ludovic, the GEIE Eyes-Road team remains supported by experienced members.

Alexandre Rivallain, Back Office Director of the Centrale des Opticiens, was elected Vice-President, drawing on his experience in the GEIE since 2010. Convinced and passionate about the subject, he will continue to bring his operational and strategic expertise to the sector.

Arnaud Devilder, France Director of Marchon Eyewear, having renewed his mandate on the Supervisory Board, wishes to capitalize on his experience to work on the efficiency and reliability of EDI exchanges between eyewear manufacturers and opticians.

A message for new players in the sector

To opticians, entrepreneurs and employees who have recently arrived in the sector, Ludovic offers a simple but crucial piece of advice:

"Continue to rely on the industry's standards and best practices, participate in their evolution, and remain attentive to innovations. Optimizing and securing exchanges are the raison d'être of the GEIE Eyes-Road, and must remain a priority for the entire sector."

With this new mandate, Ludovic and his team confirm that the GEIE Eyes-Road remains resolutely focused on the future, combining innovation, performance and safety to support the entire optical sector.
