FrequenceOptic, "Eyes-road publishes a primer to be knowledgeable about EDI"
A tireless promoter of electronic data interchange (EDI), the Eyes-Road platform has produced a primer to enable opticians, in particular, to discover or deepen the subject. It can be downloaded online.
If more and more opticians – more than 16,000 currently, including nearly 14,400 in France – use the EDI on a daily basis, it is largely thanks to Eyes-Road, which is, let us recall, a European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG). The platform*, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year, is constantly promoting the deployment of EDI in the world of optics and it does so today in an original way . For the past few weeks, and still with the idea of teaching on the subject, Eyes-Road has indeed been broadcasting an ABC. This document was designed internally and can be downloaded free of charge from a dedicated form on the Eyes-Road website and its social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram…). “This dematerialized edition is intended for all professional optical players (opticians, industrialists, suppliers, press, etc.) but also for students linked to our sector”, declares Philippe Cellier, CEO of Eyes-Road. Designed to review all of the specialized lexicon specific to EDI, "it also aims to definitively demystify this dreadful acronym to further facilitate the deployment, use and finally the anchoring of EDI in the optics,” says Mr. Cellier, well aware of the somewhat technical nature that this universe can sometimes take on, seen from the outside. “The writing of this opus is the fruit of a collective work which mobilized the whole team. Each, in his specialty, has worked with his own sensitivity, experience and expertise to offer the reader the most suitable and accessible definition of the vocabularies, expressions, titles and acronyms used in data exchanges”. summarizes the managing director of the platform. In short, the ideal tool to become unbeatable on the EDI.
* Over the last twelve months, from October 2020 to September 2021, Eyes-Road processed some 11.5 million electronic orders.
