www.frequenceoptic.fr, "Eyes-road publishes a primer to be unbeatable on EDI"
A tireless promoter of electronic data interchange (EDI), the Eyes-Road platform has produced a Primer to allow opticians, in particular, to discover or deepen the subject. It can be downloaded online.
If opticians are still more numerous – more than 16,000 currently, including nearly 14,400 in France – to use EDI on a daily basis, it is largely thanks to Eyes-Road, which is, let us remember, a European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG). The platform *, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year, continues to promote the deployment of EDI in the optical world and it does so today in an original way . For a few weeks now, and still with the idea of teaching on the subject, Eyes-Road has been broadcasting an ABC book. This document was designed in-house and can be downloaded free of charge from a dedicated form on the Eyes-Road site and its social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). "This dematerialized edition is intended for all professional optical players (opticians, manufacturers, suppliers, press, etc.) but also for students linked to our sector", declares Philippe Cellier, CEO of Eyes-Road. Designed to review the entire specialized lexicon specific to EDI, "it also aims to definitively demystify this awful acronym to further facilitate the deployment, use and finally the anchoring of EDI in the optical, ”says Mr. Cellier, well aware of the somewhat technical character that this universe can sometimes take, seen from the outside. “The writing of this opus is the fruit of collective work which mobilized the whole team. Each, in their specialty, has worked with their own sensitivity, experience and expertise to offer the reader the drafting of a definition that is the most appropriate and the most accessible to the vocabularies, expressions, titles and acronyms used in the exchange of data ”, summarizes the general manager of the platform. In short, the ideal tool to learn about EDI.
* Over the last twelve months, from October 2020 to September 2021, Eyes-Road processed some 11.5 million electronic orders.
