Eyewear & Style: Winter 2022-2023 Eyewear Trends

Reading time : 2 minutes

Winter is slowly approaching, and with the mild temperatures of recent weeks, we'd almost forgotten about it. It's a dreaded time of year, but also a time for celebrations and reunions. It's also a great time to showcase your style. Let's take a closer look at this winter's eyewear trends!

The power of colors

While for many, winter means cold and gray weather, eyewear designers have colors in mind! A great way to break away from this climate that doesn't make you want to go outside, right? The hottest colors? Pink, green, blue, and purple. Soothing or flashy, they brighten your face and you won't go unnoticed!

Among the brands to watch, we particularly love La Brique et la Violette , which is inspired by Nature, or Etnia Barcelona , with its solid and vibrant temples.

Green is still a popular color, in a context where natural elements are increasingly important. Of course, beyond aesthetics, frames made using sustainable and transparent processes are also key. Recycled frames are now trendy, regardless of the materials: plastics recovered from the oceans, wood, cork, and even…skateboards!

So don't overlook vibrant colors this winter, whether it's harsh or not.

Eyewear trends: the return of texture!

In terms of shape, geometry is making a striking comeback. Gone is the trend of thin, metallic glasses; lines and shapes are being broken up to make a statement, just like with colors. A touch of roundness, but plenty of angles. We're seeing a return to thicker materials. Sometimes subtly, sometimes boldly.

We welcome asymmetrical frames and innovatively designed curves. Perfect examples: the new frames fromJean-François Rey , Face à Face , or Oko by Oko .

In any case, whether the winter is harsh or not, these combinations of bright colors and varying shapes will inevitably bring more cheer and life to our faces buried under layers!
